Do I have to start with the Beginners class?

At Social Pilates House, we offer a variety of classes designed to accommodate individuals of all abilities. We recommend that new clients start with one or two Beginners classes, where you will be introduced to the Reformer Bed and all the necessary equipment as well as learn how to use it safely and effectively. You can then move on to a Mixed Ability class.

Do I need to wear grip socks at classes?

YES!!! This is essential for safety and hygiene purposes. Without grip socks, you can easily slip while conducting the exercises and this can be very dangerous. Clients will be refused entry to a class if they do not have grip socks and will not be re-credited. You can of course purchase grip socks at the studio for £8.99 a pair.

Prenatal, Postnatal and C-section

Can I attend your classes if I've had a C-section?

Absolutely! As long as you have received medical approval to participate, you're all set.

How long do I have to wait to start Reformer Pilates after giving birth naturally/after having a C-section?

Natural delivery recovery generally takes 6-7 weeks and C-section recovery typically lasts around 12 weeks, though this can vary from person to person. Best way to decide is to seek medical advice to progress.

What classes do you recommend taking after giving birth?

Recommended classes: Sculpt Reformer, Beginner Reformer, Power Reformer, Parent Reformer Baby in Pram (you must inform your instructor that you have given birth and may require some modifications).

Classes to Avoid: Jumpboard classes until you have built up your strength, endurance and core.

Cancellation Policy

When am I eligible for a recredit?

Our 24-hour cancellation policy is as follows: "If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled class, you will receive a full credit refund, please note this will not be done via monetary terms, just credits. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class time will be charged in full, and the credit will be deducted".

As such, we are unable to issue credits for cancellations made less than 24 hours before your class.

Can I get a refund if something came up last minute?

We will no longer be making exceptions for last-minute cancellations unless there are extenuating circumstances which we will need to review to make a final decision. As a result, one credit will be deducted, and no re-credits will be issued.

Pausing/Upgrading Memberships and Renewal Dates of Memberships.

Can I pause my membership? How long can I pause my membership for?

Yes, you can pause your membership for a maximum of 2 weeks per year! However, this option is only available for SPH members. This includes individuals who are currently on an active membership e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum.

Can I extend my Package expiry date? Can I roll my credits/guest passes over?

Packages cannot be extended, and credits cannot be rolled over, even if they were not fully used in the previous month. Guest passes also cannot be rolled over and will be lost if not used within the month of issue.

If I have run out of credits early in the month, am I able to use my next month’s credits?

Unfortunately, credits from upcoming months cannot be used in advance if you have run out of credits. However, clients who have purchased memberships can purchase additional classes for the current month at the same rate as your existing membership. In order to do this, all you need to do is email us, and we will send you a payment link with the corresponding price. Once this has been completed, we will add the appropriate amount of credits to your account.

When does my membership renew?

Memberships renew on the date of your first class. For example, if you purchase a membership on the 1st of the month but schedule your first class for the 5th, your membership will renew on the 5th of each subsequent month, not the 1st of the month.

How can I upgrade my membership?

You can upgrade your membership on your renewal date each month. Please email us a few days in advance so we can process your request and cancel your current membership before the next charge. Once cancelled, you can upgrade to a different contract.

Can I cancel my membership before the 3 months are up?

Memberships require a minimum 3-month commitment, so they cannot be cancelled before the 3-month period ends. They renew monthly on the date of your first class and expire at the end of the 3 months.
